Organizing and producing an outdoor Country Music Concert for Taylorsville can become a reality. I am thinking of a family-oriented setting with a safe, fun, and enjoyable environment. This would be one right here in our own hometown, not in Wilkesboro, Hickory or Mt. Airy, but in "our hometown". I am requesting that your organization be one of our sponsors in this endeavor. There is a need in Taylorsville for good entertainment and activities for the young and young at heart. The goal is to address that need through local financial backing and local organizational support. My major idea is to bring in several top name musicians and local bands for the entire day. We have the community resources, right here in Taylorsville, to accomplish this. Local organizations can be sponsors. Groups can do more with less by sharing costs, resources and skills. Monies stay in our own hometown. We would all need to have a strong commitment to this vision and our goal. PROPOSED WORK: · Bring in several main attraction musicians and local bands for the entire day. · Secure a good area for the concert. · Wide range publicity. · Ample parking. · Vendors (local organizations) selling food, drinks, crafts, T-shirts. · Artists demonstrating their crafts · Clean rest rooms. · Security · Make this an annual event for Taylorsville. I suggest we visualize the future. We should realize how much potential there is in Alexander County and visualize Taylorsville having an annual concert. "One can do much.
